Sullivan Awarded Scholarship at Idaho State University

Walter Sullivan, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Hughes of Silver City, became the first ISU junior to win a Phi Kappa Phi scholarship at a Pocatello awards banquet. The 4.0 student and former navy submarine officer earned the honor for top GPA and was initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi society after graduating Silver High School in 1963. He served 11 years in the navy before returning to Idaho Falls with his wife Elaine and their two children.
