Former Local Resident Receives Promotion

Manny Silva is promoted to Assistant Division Manager for Citizens Utilities Company in Kingman Arizona. A native of New Mexico and NM State University electrical engineering graduate, he has long served Citi zens since 1972 after roles as Division Engineer and Systems Engineer. He holds Arizona and Iowa professional engineer registrations and shows ongoing studies in law.

Albuquerque Architect Granted License After Board Action

District Court Judge Thomas Donnelly orders the state Board of Examiners for Architects to issue a license to John L. Greer of Albuquerque. Greer, who sought licensure in 1975, faced a complaint alleging unlawful practice without a New Mexico license.

Travel Expense Granted for State Lame Ducks

The Legislative Council approved travel funds for up to 21 legislators to attend a Salt Lake City conference, including two lame ducks, Sen. Qdis Echols and Rep. Al Castillo, though attendance remains unsettled. Costs expected around 400 to 500 dollars per attendee. The council also denied lame duck Rep. Ralph Hartman attendance at a Dallas coal conference.

Clovis City Manager Marvin Hass to resign after 27 years

AP reports Clovis City Manager Marvin Hass resigns for personal reasons. He will be 69 next week and may stay on as manager until a replacement is hired. Mayor Pro Tem Don Bonner says Hass offered to remain during transition. Hass informed commissioners he would leave when they choose. The resignation notice appears in a dated letter.

Town of Silver City Sealed Bids for Packer Unit

The Town of Silver City New Mexico will receive sealed bids for one truck mounted Packer type rear loading refuse collection unit for the Sanitation Department until 2 00 PM July 20 1976. Bid forms and specifications available from the City Purchasing Agent 213 North Bullard Street Silver City NM. Bids opened at City Hall. The City may reject any or all bids.
