Descendant Of Cortez Captains Dies In New Mexico
Mary Adellna Emilia Otero Warren known as Nina Otero Warren dies Sunday in Santa Fe at age 68. Born in Los Lunas in 1881 she was descended from the Lun and Otero families with deep New Mexico roots and served as Santa Fe County school superintendent and leader in women’s Republican circles. Her life included roles as an Indian service inspector, a CCC education director, and a consultant to Puerto Rico adult education. Her funeral is set for 9 am Wednesday at St Francis Cathedral.
