Torah scroll identified as Kaifeng artifact at SMU in Texas
A Torah scroll from the Harrison Collection at Southern Methodist University in Dallas is identified by experts as the last of six Kaifeng Torahs from the ancient Chinese Jewish community. Dr. Uechard Turner calls it a priceless artifact, with dating to 1653 or earlier, after discovery by Michael Pollock and researchers. The Dallas scroll was among items from the late Thomas J. Harrison of Pryor Oklahoma and may predate 1653.
