NSA Schedules Law Program For Ninth Annual Meeting
The National Secretarias Association International selects law as the focus for its ninth annual February program, titled Beales of Justice, set for 7 p.m. Thursday at El Patsons. Virginia Seal of the Manana Chapter notes NSA’s 600 chapters and 27,000 members across the U S Canada and Puerto Rico participate. Asa Kally and Pat Sancher of Silver City will lead the program discussing the Rules of Law and democracy in action.

Bayard Resident's Nephew Dies in Dominican Republic
Dr Henry Brito 28 of Albuquerque well known educator and lecturer died of hepatitis in the Dominican Republic. A UN official in the Dominican Republic since last November he earned a psychology doctorate at the University of Wyoming and was a UN official. He is survived by his widow Marge three children his parents Aurelio and Mary Brito of Albuquerque and a sister Mary Brito. The funeral mass was held in Albuquerque with burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Members of the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce who have not mailed ballots for directors have been asked to do so by the board. Balloting is slower than expected. Ballots must be in the chamber office no later than March 3. The membership elects seven directors each year to serve a two year term. The newly elected directors will take office at the first meeting in April, when the full 14 member board will elect new officers for the year.
