La Plata Teams Post Losses Across Grades at Gadsden
Three La Plata squads traveled to Gadsden on Saturday and all returned with defeats. Seventh grade fell 4-1, eighth grade 35-27 with Richard Castillo praised for defense and offense, while Scott Cain and Charlie Mungz were noted for defense. Ninth grade lost 43-34 with Richard Lean lauded for both sides of the court. Eleven area students named to the all state music festival in Albuquerque January 17 to 19 as UNM hosts the NMMEA conference and concert.
