Folk musician Charley Groth will headline a Sunday concert at Fleming Hall WNMU Campus with Donna Raye and Powell. Admission is free. venue opens at 1:00 p.m. and the show begins an hour later featuring Groth’s folk from Hispanic and New Mexican heritage. The event marks a series kickoff and partners with the University Museum.

Officers Named for Legion District 7 and Post 18
District 7 and Allingham Goulding Post 18 elected new officers for 1975 76 at meetings in Las Cruces and Silver City. Hugo H Kuester of Silver City was chosen district commander and will be installed in June. Mrs Blanche White and Mrs Gust Ports, both of Silver City, were elected district auxiliary president and vice president respectively. Maurice Granger of Silver City was named district historian.
