Four U S Army personnel were killed and six wounded when an assault on a Viet Cong stronghold 20 miles west of Saigon left heavy casualties for both sides. Among the dead and wounded were helicopter crewmen.

Missing Plane Found Near Reeds Peak
The single engine plane missing since January 24 with three Albuquerque men aboard was found near Reeds Peak in the Black Range of the Gila National Forest. Maj. Gen. John P. Jolly said the downed aircraft was identified as John W. Hoffman 36 Robert Collins 28 and W C Baker 39. Guardsmen from Truth or Consequences entered the area and a search plane spotted the wreck about two miles east of Reeds Peak at 10 000 feet.
