Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Burnett 33 of Evadale were held Wednesday at 2 p m at Morris Cemetery near Buna with Rev A McKinney officiating. She died at midnight Sunday at her parents home in Evadale. Lions Club Radio Show Brings $600 For Civic Projects
Silsbee Lions raised almost $600 from a one day radio show on KKAS during Labor Day. Proceeds support civic projects such as scholarships, aiding crippled children, and buying glasses for children. A cake bought for $66.50 by Mr and Mrs Emmett Barefield supported the event. Next Tuesday District 2 S1 Governor Buddy Lyles of Beaumont will speak at the club meeting.
