Thompson seeks injunction over SISD tax reappraisal
Silsbee attorney Houston Thompson asks 88th District Court for a temporary injunction blocking SISD from collecting taxes on his office property. He claims the district arbitrarily raised value from 24 000 to 48 000, that reappraisal is illegal without full district re-evaluation, and that even after Board of Equalization adjustment the value remains 150 percent of true market value.
