The Blue Cross policy for Texas OAA recipients may push broader medical coverage, encouraging other insurers to follow. Governor Daniel’s Texans for Tourists seeks legislative funding to promote the state’s attractions, after a constitutional amendment allowed tourist promotion in 1958.
