Texas Parks and Wildlife reports 366 000 whitetails killed statewide in 1973 74 with Austin Llano County leading at about 20 000 deer including 12 000 bucks. Mason Gillespie Kerr and Uvalde follow, while 553 000 hunters joined whitetail hunts and 36 000 turkeys were bagged.
