The article notes a Saturday post election cookout at the Gray home on Dardin Drive with a large crowd and an assortment of foods. Ann Benson, to marry Matt Dinkle on May 29, enjoyed a bridal luncheon hosted by Joyce Hopkins with Lynn Hopkins and Colleen Allen as hostesses, featuring a variety of baskets and a fried chicken supper. Additional items mention W H Cochran’s 42 years as Mississippi school superintendent and several local congratulations and festival attendance details.
