Flood relief loan offices set for Kountze July 25
SBA Farmers Home Admin and other federal offices will open temporary sites in Kountze on July 25 from 10 am to 7 pm to accept applications for five percent government loans for individuals and businesses affected by the June 11 18 floods. Additional offices will operate in Woodville July 23–24 with details to be announced. The declaration covers ten East Texas counties and offers tax relief for casualty losses from the storms.

Final Rites Held Saturday For W L Stackpole
Funeral service for W L Stackpole 72 was held Saturday at 10 am in Memorial Home Chapel. Rev E C Castilan and A Harold Holland officiated. He died July 12 in Sehler s Nursing Home in Jieru mont. Survivors include his wife Viola Stackpole, one son Gerald V Stackpole of Silsbee, two daughters Frances David and Ann Lou Fuller, two sisters Annie Sugan and Nori Harrington, one brother James E Stackpole. Pete Upchurch Rushed to Hospital After Heart Attack
