Dam B Reservoir Sanctuary Protects Wildfowl
The Dam B Reservoir wildlife refuge between Jasper and Woodville Texas draws bird watchers and photographers. Texas Parks and Wildlife permits sanctuary status extending to waterfowl species such as wood duck canvasback pintail shovelers and coots. Wardens note ducks swim to sanctuary boundaries by the river bridge avoiding hunters as geese arrive early in migration.
