Silsbee Council actions on zoning, bids, and insurance changes
The Silsbee City Council postponed seven member board appointments, nixed Ordinance 75-1 to re zone four blocks for a North Tenth Street apartment project, and split along party lines. They rejected bids for a Parks tractor after the supplier sold the unit, then authorized a new purchase. The council declined state matching funds for free elderly transport, examined fire department complaints, and kept California Western Life for city group policies with higher premiums and expanded benefits.
