Former Resident Dies In Shiro
N. W. Casey of Shiro and former resident of Silsbee died Tuesday at 9 30 a.m. after a seven month illness. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Hearne Texas on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Attending from Silsbee were Mrs. M. Panthers Open Annual Tournament At Waldo Gym
Waldo Mathews Panthers host the annual cage tournament with seven boys and four girls teams. Liberty and Panther Junior Varsity start at 11 a.m., then Kirbyville and Woodville at 1 15 p.m. Boys semis at 5 and 6 30 p.m. finals 8 45 p.m. Woodville beat Waldo 73 66 in the season opener. Lendell Shaw led with 29 points, Bobby Simmons 14, Leonard Garrett 12.
