Crane residents Mr. and Mrs. J R Holland visited J B Faggard Jr. home. Numerous relatives and friends from Mobile Beaumont Houston Center Conroe Odessa and Philadelphia spent New Years and holidays in Loeb area homes. A PTA executive meeting and church social followed a church service at Loeb First Baptist.
Silsbee Texas Planning Commission explains the master plan as an architectural style for city growth. It outlines land use, thoroughfare, zoning, subdivision rules and future studies on parks schools and city facilities to raise values and guide development.
First Baptist Church will meet Wednesday at 9 a m in the pastor's home. The other three circles meet Thursday at 10 a m with Lottie Moon group led by Mrs FE M Stewart and Mildred Wilcox with Mrs Glen Nelson. Mr and Mrs J Hegwood honorable guests from Cleveland attended Loeb First Baptist services Sunday.
Good Shepherd Baptist Church WMU groups met Tuesday in members homes with nine, three, and seven attendees respectively. Bible lessons and prayers were led by several members. Revival prep via cottage prayer meetings runs Jan 9 to 14 with Rev. David Blackock preaching beginning Jan 15 and Fred Hobbs directing music.

Rev Norman Walters pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Silsbee will be ordained Sunday at 3 p m at Honey Island Baptist Church. Rev Don Covington of Beaumont will be moderator and R E Barclay of Silsbee will question the candidate. The charges will be given by Rev R L Batemen and Rev B G Roberts. Public invited to attend.
The Silsbee Garden club will meet Tuesday afternoon at 2 30 in the home of Mrs RK L Paret with Mrs Hugh Smith as co hostess Beauty on Your Window Sill will be the theme of the program R A Black of Blacks Garden Shop in Beaumont will give a talk on New Ideals and Advice on Raising Pot Plants Mrs B L Moreland Mrs Paul Georgas and Mrs L H Wade will present arrangements for discussion

The Exquised Club held a Christmas party at Mrs. James Singleton home on December 24 with 12 members and 10 visitors. Mrs. Lloyd Ewing led games. Henry Blackmon and Earline Smith won Bible contest prizes. Curtis Graham reviewed The Other Wise Man. The group sang carols at Hardin Memorial hospital on December 22 and devotional services at Hardin County jail in Kountze. A $25 donation boosted the playground fund. Next meeting January 16 at Mrs. Ernest Gregory home to draw secret pals.

The Azalea Garden Club met December 28 at Mrs. J. K. Bower’s home with Mrs. Ray Brown as cohostess. Ten members attended as Mrs. W. S. Ray led a program on bulbs and Bower showed slides of the Spring Flower Show. A later meeting at Mrs. H. F. Warren’s planned a nominating committee slate for the coming year.
Duplicate bridge games resume tonight at Hardin County Golf and Country Club after a holiday recess. Director J. W. Reinkemeyer of Beaumont announces a 7:30 start and invites the public. Terrel Buchanan of Silsbee Attorney won the December series.

Scout leader uncovers the Skeleton of Yellowhouse Canyon located 12 miles east of Lubbock in Northern West Texas. The Indian remained dated between 1852 and 1875 and was buried with a Remington-Bears 44 caliber revolver, an Army officer belt, leather saddle bag, bridle remnants, iron bit, antler flaking tool, and a two quart Army kettle.
