Garden Club Sets Date For Annual Flower Show
Silsbee Garden Club met with Mrs. L. P. Skinner and Mrs. R. E. Jackson as co hosts. Twenty five members and two guests attended as plans were outlined for the flower show on March 22 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The silver tea program theme is Springtime in The Pines. The next meeting will be hosted by Mrs. Charles Howell and Mrs. B. L. Moreland.

Pythian Sisters Lodge Initiates New Members
The Pythian Sisters Lodge held an initiation Monday night for new members. Special guests included Mrs Mae Cooper Grand Junior of the Jurisdiction of Texas Beaumont and her husband. Refreshments were served by Mrs Margaret Thomas Mrs Katherine Mizerak and Mrs Bess Hailey. The next meeting is Monday March 7 and all members are urged to attend.

Steve Patterson Celebrates Tenth Birthday at Blue Bonnet Cafe
Steve Patterson celebrated his 10th birthday with a party in the Blue Bonnet Cafe dining room Friday evening from 3 30 to 6 00 pm. A large pink and green iced birthday cake sat center stage with flowers and balloons on either side. Toy shaped whistles were given as favors.

Boy Scouts Discuss Annual Summer Camp Plans
Troop 34 members met Tuesday night to review a summer camp at Camp Orland and an April Hobby Show. John Hartovan led opening with the Scout oath, badges were awarded, and Pat Richardson gave the benediction.

First Baptist Circles Meet for February Sessions
The Gene McNeely circle met February 27 at 00 am in Mrs. Bruington’s home with Golliher in charge. Attendees included Caskey Isbell Pope Huff Harrison Bruington and Golliher. Caskey reviewed Under The North Star by Harold B E Dye. Refreshments followed. The Mary Hill Davis circle met February 21 at Mrs. Swift’s home with four members. Barclay led prayer and devotion by Mrs. Hutchins. Cards were filled for the general meeting and the group set Tuesday morning Week of Prayer at 9:00 am. Next meeting set for March 7 at 2:30 pm at Mrs. Parish’s home.
