Six fires during the week ending Tuesday kept Silsbee firefighters busy over the holiday period. Calls included a butane tank near 14th and 15th Streets, fires near Wiley Mae Pentecostal Church, Highway 327 West by Armour J wrecking yard, fires Christmas Eve and 11th Street area grass and woods blazes, and a 1969 Chevrolet owned by Robert Ard of Kountze destroyed by fire.
