Temple-Eastex Transplants Alligators To Boggy Slough
Temple-Eastex trucks move five alligators with mouths taped shut to a wildlife reserve at Boggy Slough in Trinity County as part of East Texas reintroduction efforts. Special Projects officer Gene Samford notes alligators help balance the food chain and will take years to reach full population. A chorus of new residents may be heard in the Sloughs off Highway 94 as they establish a home in Deep East Texas.
