Sympathy Extends to Family of Dutch Thomas
The community extends sympathy to Dutch Thomas's family after his death on August 5. Thomas, a long-time Village Mills resident since 1917, died at home. Funeral attendees included Mrs. Bill Thomas and Mrs. Rae Scouten, with others visiting the Thomas and Briley families in nearby towns. Local residents traveled to Dallas and Beaumont for family matters and church events, with several trips and gatherings noted among relatives and friends over the weekend.
