Water Tank Painting Completed in Silsbee Streets Next
Silsbee’s 100000 gallon over head tank on Avenue 1 was repainted and repaired and returned to operation last week after two months out of service. City Manager Wayne DuBose said flushing to clear rusty water has begun but full system flushing is delayed by staff shortages. Weather delays street resurfacing near schools while repairs proceed. Budget items include a new fire truck, master plan, three hires, and capital funds for water and sewer. Dozens of tax changes and valuations are expected with sales tax revenue around 340000 and city tax roll near 106252 this year.
