Mrs Dafisie Jared McKinley aged 74 of Bertrand died at home after about eight weeks illness. Born August 12, 1881 in Baxter Tennessee she was married September 11 1898 to H L McKinley who survives. She leaves siblings Brice Jared Vernie Myers and Victoria Holmes and many grandchildren great grandchildren. Funeral was held at Bertrand Methodist Church with Rev J C Ensor officiating and burial in Oak Grove Cemetery Charleston.
Mrs. Gil Brooks of Matthews, 78, died Wednesday morning at Missouri Delta Community Hospital after a stay since Sunday. Born February 21, 1877 in New Madrid County, she was predeceased by husband G. Brooks three weeks prior. Funeral services Friday at 2:39 p.m. at the family home with burial in Matthews Cemetery. survivors include Buc and Pauline Brooks, Gene Buckies, Oliver Noyes, Welton Shanks, Patch Brooks, Wayne Brooks, and many grandchildren.
Rotary Club at Rustic Rack hears Fire Prevention talk by Fire Chief Ramsey and sees an American Petroleum Institute film. Members will carry old fashioned oil lanterns this week as penance for attendance lapses, with a 25 cent fine for any member seen without one.

Charleston resident Pearl Fea Frigrer aged 48 died Tuesday night at Cane Hospital after a fall. Born June 6 1412 at Renault she was a member of the Church of God Prophery. Survived by three children William Thomas Francis Tew and Alorris all of Charleston and four sisters four brothers and four grandchildren. Funeral plans set with services at Church of God of Presbecy and burial at Doeewood cemetery under McMikle watch.
William A Wilkins 75 died at his daughter's home in Westmor as Bertha Wilkins survives. He was born June 22 1861 in Chicago. Survived by wife three sons Jehno Wilkins Jesse Wilkins and James Wilkins Jr two daughters Helen Heontes and Cain two grandchildren and sisters Parm Rogers Alvin Taylor Lows Banks and Wilmalight.
Funeral services for William A. Wilkins, 75, who died Monday, will be conducted at 2 30 p.m. Thursday in the Welsh Funeral chapel with Rev. J W Hoffert officiating assisted by Rev. A C Suhmant and burial will be in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
