Cured meat and lard valued at about 50 dollars were stolen from Sikeston residents Guy Reed and George Hemall three weeks ago. State Highway Patrol recovered the meat Tuesday at the home of Eugene Lott near Diehlstadt and officers, with Reed and Hemall, identified the meat. Lott’s brother-in-law Eddie Williams fled. Lott was cleared and search continues for Williams and the thief.

Two men arrested for drunken driving on Tuesday March 21 by Sgt Melvin Dace of the State Highway Patrol are jailed in Scott County Benton and New Madrid.
