Officer Claude McManus arrested Eugene Tice 33, accused of fatally beating a man with a table leg. Word reached Sikeston of the death of Mrs. Lou Greer at age about seventy in Los Angeles California where she had lived with her daughter Mrs Vernon Vaughn for several years. She had been an invalid after a paralytic stroke and fractured her hip last week. Survived by several children including Mrs Fannie Burgeous and Mrs Jennie Gentry of St Louis Marian Greer of Tacoma Cecil Greer of Pittsburg Kan Alfred Greer of Idaho and Russell Greer who preceded her in death. Funeral and interment in California.

Harrison pleaded guilty to two charges before Justice of the Peace Brown Jewels and received six months in Scott County Jail per charge, totaling one year.
