Sikeston's newest service station on Highway 61 operated by Russ Matthews suffered a theft last night. George Stefanick of California was arrested by City Officers Bert Rice and Grover Lewis, pleaded guilty before Justice Brown Jewels, and received four months in Scott County Jail plus a $10 fine and costs totaling $22.85. He allegedly took an overcoat from a truck and earlier stole two aprons a pipe and other items from a Gilbert Clinton automobile on Matthews avenue. Other court news: L. G. Lambert jailed for drunkenness and fined 38 cents. J. W. Williams, a colored man, is working on the streets after an arrest on disturbing the peace following a Rose Lee Sawyer complaint.

Charles Neal drew three months for drunken driving with license revoked. Harold Davis got four months for carrying concealed weapons and faced a plea to relocate. Appeals were granted in Nina Cook versus F M Day and Lee O Reilly versus Alice O Reilly, with the latter going to the Springfield Court of Appeals. The court reconvenes April 18.

Friends here were informed this afternoon of the death Tuesday night of Viola Parsons former Sikeston resident now living in Saginaw Michigan. Widow of Dr M G Parsons she had lived with her sister Mrs Cleveland in Michigan. She had been ill for some time. Mr Cleveland will bring the body here Saturday. Funeral plans not announced.
