The Sierra County Board of Commissioners declares a November 3 1908 election for delegates to Congress Territorial council and house seats, county offices, and river commissioners. Appoints precinct judges and outlines voting in Hillsboro with names and offices listed, dated August 31 1908 and attested by Clerk J M Webster.
A Democratic Convention in Sierra County New Mexico is called to meet at the Court House Hillsboro at 10 a m on Saturday October 8 1908 for nominating candidates for sheriff treasurer collector assessor probate clerk ex officio recorder probate judge county superintendent of schools county surveyor and two commissioners plus other business. Precinct primaries October 22 1908. proxies not recognized. delegates certified to county central committee. All Democrats invited to participate. A Republican County Convention is called for Hillsboro New Mexico on October 1 1968 at 1 a m to nominate a complete county ticket. Precinct delegates are listed by precinct with representation and residency requirements. Precinct primaries will precede the county central committee meeting to elect a chairman. Territorial Central Committee members Kahler Bucher Matantanes urge Republican voters to participate.
