Murder Case Ties Navajo Police to Adams Mine Death
The Albuquerque Citizen reports that T C Vanidivere chief of Navajo Indian police escorted the Swift murder suspect Niche to Gallup. Niche admits assaulting Benjamin Swift with a club then fatally shooting him after Swift and a Navajo boy shared supper. Swift’s body was hidden in a deserted hogan and horses were later killed. Niche is held at Fort Wingate awaiting the next court term.
