St Bernard Saves Boy From New Orleans Manhole

Jealous dog dies after donkey visit in Jersey City home

At 64 Rose Avenue Jersey City Policeman Joseph Sweeney’s Newfoundland Prince grew morose after a pet donkey joined the family. Prince refused to eat or play, then fatally leaped through a third story window. The donkey was later sent away leaving Prince deceased from his injuries. A separate report recounts a snow slide near Twin Lakes Colorado, where Foster narrowly escaped death after an avalanche knocked him from his path and tree limbs halted his fall. Giant Galapagos tortoise at New York Zoo dwarfs all others

A report from Woman's Home Companion notes the New York Zoological Society houses giant testudo tortoises from the Galapagos Islands, including a young member weighing 66 pounds and estimated aged 80 to 100 years, alongside a much larger testudo vicina carrying on her back about four feet by four and a half feet and weighing over 325 pounds.
