Death in Apache Creek Duel Near Aragon
Pat Gann, a longtime Socorro county rancher, was shot dead by neighbor Henry Steen at Gann's home ranch in Apache Creek country near Aragon. Steen, arriving from Magdalena, says he acted in self defense after Gann fired multiple shots at him and at Joe Winn earlier. Gann had reportedly relapsed into drinking. Steen faces a scheduled hearing this weekend or next Monday.
