The Santa Fe New Mexican mocks Santa Fe's climate while Hillsboro records zero readings during a cold snap. The Cananea copper company head John Talbot visits Traves mines, Mrs Bennett visits, and an Eagle loading effort for Ocean Wave mine machinery is noted. Socialites hosted two intimate tea events last week. Mrs Wolford entertained Friday afternoon with guests including Mrs M A Harbison and Mrs Kate M Owen. Sunday evening Mrs Given hosted an informal birthday tea for a few friends with attendees Mrs Harbison, Mrs Crews, Mrs Brayton Campbell, Mrs Thomson, and Mrs Anderson. Ice cream cake and edibles were served.
In a Sunday afternoon game the Sierra Browns defeated the Tortillas 22 to 17 after a strong start by the Tortillas faded late. Tomorrow the Browns face the Weary Willies in what is billed as a fight for bragging rights.
