The Hibist a wedding occurred at the Barenda residence of B F Parks with Pearl Parks marrying Orrick Metcalfe. Rev J B Summons officiated. A quiet ceremony followed by luncheon. gifts included silver service and a pyrography bookcase. The couple planned El Paso and Mesilla homes, with bee farming to come.
Fairview reports Mica Jessie Hearn in convalescence at El Paso with her parents P H McAughan sending prayers for recovery. Mrs B T Cox shows improvement under Dr E P Brian care as Wall Findlay visits town and reports stock in good condition. Eulogio Saiz, a sheep herder, died at Chiz on the 6th and burial will be in Monticello. Masquerade Ball on the 22nd promises novel costumes and scarce hotel rooms push visitors to bring bedding.
Sunday's baseball game between the Browns and the Hasbeens drew a large crowd. The Hasbeens, captained by Will Cooper, outplayed the defending Browns in an artistic display while Wo. M. Robins umpired the contest.
Under a post office ruling weekly publishers must drop delinquents after one year of nonpayment. Delinquent Advocate subscribers are urged to settle promptly or their names will be removed from the live subscription list.

Adjoining owners in Grant County New Mexico are notified that 3100.00 has been expended on each mining claim for 1907 to maintain the claims under Section 2324. If absent coowners fail to contribute within ninety days after publication, their interests may vest in the undersigned. Published January 10 1908.
Public notice announces that all grazing permit applications for the Gila National Forest must be filed in Silver City New Mexico by February 1 1908. It states grazing fees and blank forms will be provided on request and is signed by W H Goddard Acting Supervisor with first publication January 3 1907.

A statement dated December 2, 1907 from J. M. Webster lists witnesses to prove his continuous residence in Hills, New Mexico. The document names several individuals who will testify to his prolonged occupancy and ties to the community.
Notice from the Interior Land Office at Las Cruces New Mexico dated December 6 1907 lists A Morgan of Engle New Mexico as having filed for final commutation on a desert land claim in Section 26 Township 44 South Range 4 East. Witnesses to prove residence and cultivation are Robert Ward Carte New Mexico McLendon Cutter New Mexico H Harden Cutter New Mexico and V Reed Cutter New Mexico. First publication December 13 1907.
