Fence In Game With Wire Seeks State Preserves

Harrisburg, Pa. The board of state game commissioners plans to establish several state game preserves on land owned by the state forestry department. The preserves will be enclosed by a single three foot high wire fence. Hunting will be prohibited within these areas at all times and wardens will enforce the rule. A 96000 appropriation from the last legislature funds the project and sites will be chosen by Treasurer Frank G. Harris W Heyward Myers and Secretary Joseph Kalbfus of the state game commission.

Pearl found in Wabash valued near $1000 by experts

Montezuma Indiana fishing man Emory Moore found a mussel pearl worth about $1000 while preparing bait. This is the second Wabash pearl of similar value found in two months. Pearl hunters are common at this spot and local sales flatten to Paris market prices. The Wabash pearls are hailed as the finest freshwater gems.
