Bursum Leads All Opponents in New Mexico Nomination Fight

Reliable reports from New Mexico counties indicate H. O. Bursum will be the Republican governor nominee with a large first ballot majority. Romero’s support has collapsed to six counties totaling 87 votes, while Barnum may win part of Santa Fe and Taos counties. Barcum’s camp claims about 140 pledged votes for the first ballot, with around 120 reliably counted.
