Hillsboro News Roundup of Visits Dances and Mining News
Hillsboro items note visits of John Kendall and Oscar Kinsley and arrivals from Tennessee and Kingston. A dance in Hirsch hall is planned and Lake Valley socials draw crowds. Teachers Institute to be Held in Hillsboro New Mexico
Sierra County will hold a teachers institute in Hillsboro starting August 17 1908 under state law requiring all who teach or expect to teach in any school district to show a certificate of attendance or valid exemption. Friday and Saturday August 28 29 will be devoted to certificate examinations. James P Parker County Superintendent of Public Schools.
