East Idaho Baptists Hold Eighth Annual Session at Soldier
The East Idaho Baptist Association held its eighth annual session at Soldier from last Thursday to Sunday. About 100 delegates and visitors attended, with Shoshone sending the largest delegation. The community hosted meals in a church kitchen shed and a nearby tent used as a dining hall. Delegates from Hager man Hailey Picabo Carey Pocatello Blackfoot Idaho Falls and Shoshone attended.

Idaho painter Joseph McMeekin from Hagerman has prepared landscapes of local scenery for an October Boise fair. A skilled colorist, he captures Pacific Coast and marine scenes sketched on tours, and is esteemed as a leading western artist.
