Namesake of Late Harriman Near 16000 Acres of Fine Farming Land
The new town of Harriman sits by the Malad crossing on the Bliss-Rupert cut off of the Minnidoka and Southwestern railway in Lincoln county. It lies between Bliss and Wendell, near Gooding and Hagerman, with Shoestring irrigation nearby and Hagerman valley within reach. Opening day in November will draw 40 acres in town lots, with main proprietor Thomas J. Clark. Construction already under way, a new school district planned, and railroad grading advancing. The town, close to an electric plant at Lower Salmon Falls, is set to become a thriving rail point and irrigated hub ahead of the railway completion.
