The Ladies met with Mrs. Frank Gross this week and reported a large attendance. Sunday School was at 9:00 with A J McMahon as superintendent. evening service at 8:00 featured Mothers Day. One member attended late for Sunday school. A. I. McMahon was on the sick list. Dry farming entries total nearly ten thousand acres in Shoshone before Frank T. Disney, UPS Commissioner, and many entrymen moved on to Hailey.

North Dakota Germans Seek New Homes in Idaho County

A party of German settlers from North Dakota filed on about sixteen hundred acres south of the Snake River in Cassia County. They say many friends and relatives are coming to Idaho for land, believing conditions here offer better prosperity. Minidoka project opened in 19M has spurred homesteads in Lincoln County. Nearly a thousand to five thousand more residents are expected near Minidoka as families plan immediate land clearing and home building. Most settlers are Mennonites or German Lutherans, with strict oath practices among Mennonites. The community welcomes these new families to permanent homes in the county.
