Shoshone and surrounding towns report church services and rituals. Lenten observances at the Episcopal church with weekly prayers and sermons wrap around notices of weddings, baptisms, and charitable events. Local officials discuss rail and road issues while schools and churches host gatherings, dances, and dinners.
The Shoshone Study Club will meet with Mrs. Disney on Friday March 12 to discuss the first two chapters of Renaissance and Modern Art and a Bay View magazine feature Florence the Art Capital of Italy. The members plan an economics day at Mrs. Fred Gooding's home and aim to showcase early art and architecture with invited guests. Several new members have joined the club this year.
Ordinance 38 grants C F Borden and successors the right to lay a railroad track across south Rail street near block 6 and connect with the Oregon Short Line at a side track in Shoshone. Passed February 1, 1909 by the village trustees with Clerk H W Anderson.
