Lincoln County Plans Refunding Bonds Sale for 28,000
Lincoln county commissioners set June 26 to sell a 28000 refunding bond issue to retire one tenth of the county’s bonded debt. The old bonds mature over twenty years with ten percent each year after ten, and the new issues may sell at a premium to yield a real rate slightly above five percent. A second 28000 issue will follow next year, continuing for ten years to retire the old bonds. Auditor Harry Anderson promotes favorable Journal issues and county maps to attract bidders.
