Fourth of July Celebration Planned in Shoshone

Citizens gathered last Friday to revive an old time Fourth of July in Shoshone. A Chamber of Commerce meeting approved the plan and appointed committees to handle arrangements, literary and music events, Liberty Car, grounds, races, baseball, fireworks, printing, advertising, and marshal duties for the day with a $600 prize fund.

Perrine’s Drive Sparks Twin Falls Canal and Shoshone Plant

Bert Perrine is credited with sparking major regional progress in Cassia and Lincoln counties through the Twin Falls Canal and the Shoshone Falls Electric Power Plant. The canal project has attracted capital and is expanding irrigation across thousands of acres, while the power plant advances through legal hurdles and machinery orders.
