The annual Lincoln county Sunday schools convention held in Hagerman drew wide participation. Rev. Brown welcomed attendees and invited generous hospitality while Rev. Vincent and Mrs. McMahon led talks on evangelism. Officers were re elected and reports from Hagerman Hig Wood River Pleasant Valley Shoshone Episcopal Gooding Clover Creek Minidoka were shared.

Studies and Speeches Mark Year End at Shoshone Club
The Study Club of Shoshone closed the year with a farewell meeting led by retiring president Mrs C M Hemphill. Miss Agatha Jean Senna of Boise gave an informal talk on The Abuses of the English Language. Refreshments were served by the hostess and Miss Alberta McFall and Bessie Burnside. Attendees included Mesdames Pierce, Binford, Wallace, Nolan and Godfrey. The coming year will study Germany with Mrs C R Wheeler as president and Mrs C M Hemphill as vice president.

Sawmill at Goodyear mill runs twenty two hours daily
In Elk county at the Goodyear sawmill near Medix Run logs are consumed rapidly as a hard mill and gangs operate continuously from pond intake to yard storage. The plant runs nearly non stop, eating a log in under forty seconds while three trains shuttle between pond and woods to maintain supply, with hemlock the sole timber cut.
