High School Notes and Local Events Chronicle
The Concordia debating club awaits a new pennant from rival society after a ticket contest. Reports cover typing tests, spelling errors, and penalties, plus last week’s top writers and last month’s best. The calendar social in the domestic science kitchen clears about $23, with seasonal booths. A Richfield basketball game on the local floor ended 41 to 11 in favor of our team, and Heiley is set to visit next Saturday. The orchestra and theater notices praise contributors and attendees, while obituaries note Haynes’s long life and Odd Fellows service. Local tax coverage corrects a misimpression from the Capital News, reaffirming taxpayer protections against delinquent-property procedures.

Wool Market In Active State Reflects Rising Demand
Wool buyers from Boston and New England cities converge on the ranches as lambing season peaks. Carfockmasters, including Price Newman, anticipate a defensive rise in domestic wool prices within sixty days, prompting caution against early contracting. Reports from Utah and Nevada show numerous contracts at 12c to 146, with concern sellers rushed deals earlier. National Wool Warehouse signals strong domestic demand as tariff worries settle.
