Shortly after our soldiers were sent to France, Shoshone mothers began meeting to hear letters from sons abroad. Mrs B F Peake was elected president and officers named. The group plans weekly meetings with light lunches for ten cents, enlarging aims to include supplying comforts to soldiers with items such as combs towels handkerchiefs and similar goods, coordinated by members with sons serving.
