Murray Rites Mark Local Leader in Shoshone

Funeral services for T. J. Murray, longtime hotel operator and former county auditor and Montana state legislator, mark his death from pneumonia last Sunday in Shoshone Idaho. Born 1865 in Bennington Vermont, he lived in Dillon Montana before moving to Shoshone in 1917. He is survived by his wife Minnie and two children, with brothers Martin J. Murray of South Shaftsbury Vermont and W. Geo. Murray of Dillon Montana, plus a sister Mrs J J Wheeler. The community observed the funeral with closing business and Red Cross tributes, while a train escort carried his body to Dillon for interment.
