Lincoln County to Get College

The Idaho Methodist Episcopal conference authorized by resolution the building of a Methodist college for Southern Idaho to be located at Gooding if land and funds offered by Gooding citizens and ex-Governor Gooding prove satisfactory. The college commission will investigate the offer before locating the college. The Idaho conference session opened in Twin Falls with Bishop Duceock presiding. Two notable resolutions addressed compulsory preacher attendance and conserving conference resources. The Sho shone Public Schools will add domestic science and manual training with a four year high school program approved by the University of Idaho.

RAISES ON OREGON SHORT LINE RAILROAD

A price war erupts between Beaver River Company and Kuba Company at Gooding with cent rates as low as 3 cents per kilowatt hour for contracts, while ordinary households face 4 to 6 cents.
