Minidoka irrigation towns to be sold in Idaho valley
The Uncle San sale will auction portions of two town sites within the Minidoka irrigation project in southern Tola Kio. The system will reclaim about 130000 acres along the Snake River with dams and canals, creating a densely populated farming region and a growing community around Sherrer. A future power plant at the dam could supply municipal needs as settlers surge into the area.
