Horse rustlers captured after Idaho Nevada chase tale

Sheriff Sheri Zug and deputies trapped and captured Greenstead near a mountain cabin while pursuing horse rustlers led by Oscar McGinley and L. J. Green stead. McGinley was arrested later at Rupert for hire to drive to the Gotrell ranch. Greenstead and others hid horses in Cassia county and may have crossed into Nevada. The gang aimed to clean up horses in Lincoln and neighboring counties, but timely arrests prevented further losses.

Rupert Bliss cut off ready for travel at Goopdale

Tuesday afternoon the Rupert Bliss cut off reached Goopdale a prospective city six miles north of Shoshone falls and halfway between Rupert and Bliss. A temporary schedule will run one mixed train daily until the line is turned over. Copp and Turton, who brought the news to Twin Falls, plan Coppdale townsite and have donated land for a depot and stockyards along with side tracks.
