Rearing Pond Yields Bass and Red Ears

The Shiner Fish and Game League drained its Rearing Pond this week and seined out and planted about 1200 bass from six to nine inches along with large numbers of red ear bream in the creeks. Earlier seining produced 1100 four inch bass in July and 600 four to five inch fry in August, despite 1200 fish dying in August from oxygen deficiency.
